Ensemble TELOS
Ensemble TELOS was formed as part of a recording and performance of a composition commissioned by The Monash Centre for Consciousness and Contemplative Studies as part of its Official Launch as a Centre. The piece was composed by Gidi Ifergan, inspired by Andalucian and Classical Indian music, followed by improvisation, creating an alternatively contemplative atmosphere. The expressive musicians sought to form Ensemble TELOS out of sharing such a space, composing new music and performing each other's original pieces, employing a unique form of instrumentation.
